NYKYDKN is a digital art collective led by French-Canadian artist Tobahc Sacul, whose work blends sacred geometry, AI, and mixed media to create immersive NFT experiences.
Raised in the UK, Sacul’s visionary designs explore the interplay of light, form, and consciousness, offering collectors a journey into abstract digital realms.
Origin Story
During my final years of secondary school (2005–2008), a love affair with graphic design was born.
At that time, I found myself deeply inspired by the works of El Lissitzky and Alexander Rodchenko, two Russian Constructivist artists from the Soviet Union era whose bold visual language left a lasting impression.
Simultaneously, I began experimenting with ink while studying postmodern pop art. In particular, I drew inspiration from contemporary artists such as Banksy, as well as the emerging pop-up shop culture surrounding fashion brands like Comme des Garçons.
Over the years, I’ve come to describe myself as a graphic mixed-media artist, having dedicated countless hours to refining and evolving my craft.
Currently, I’m 33 years old. I was born in 1991 in Québec City, Canada. However, my formative years were spent in Stevenage, a town located in Hertfordshire, South-East England.
Today, I reside in a French Canadian town near Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
From Ink to Algorithms
In recent years, I have increasingly explored mixed-media techniques, combining traditional and digital methods.
For instance, I incorporate hand-drawn ink illustrations into my workflow, layering them digitally using tools like Photoshop.
Moreover, I use artificial intelligence (A.I.) to further sculpt these physical ink drawings, integrating the generated outputs into collaborative pieces with other artists from NYKYDKN.
NYKYDKN is an anonymous art collective I founded three years ago. Since its inception, the collective’s mission has been to blend media and create digital masterpieces that push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Throughout my career, my work has been featured in various online marketplaces and physical exhibitions, including displays in public libraries.
Most recently, my art was showcased at the Goat Gallery in Toronto, Canada, during the Base OnChain Meetup alongside other prominent Web3 artists.
My name is Tobahc Sacul NYKYDKN.
